Autotransformer
An autotransformer is a type of transformer where the primary and secondary windings are interconnected, sharing part of the winding. This means there is a physical and conductive connection between the voltage input and output.
Cost-Effective: Generally, they are cheaper than isolation transformers due to the use of less winding material.
Efficiency: They offer high efficiency, especially useful in applications where the voltage difference between input and output is not significant.
Usage Limitations: Not suitable for applications that require electrical isolation between input and output, such as in sensitive or safety-critical equipment.
Isolation Transformer
An isolation transformer, on the other hand, has separate primary and secondary windings, providing complete electrical isolation between the input and output. This means there is no direct physical connection between the input and output circuits.
Safety: Offers greater safety, as the isolation between input and output protects against electric shocks and interference.
Versatile Applications: Ideal for sensitive equipment, laboratories, hospitals, and industrial applications where safety and isolation are crucial.
Investment: Generally more expensive than autotransformers, but the investment is justified by the safety and versatility.

Container Transformer
Being the most compact transformer for this application, it fits into container machinery and can be transported as an integral part of it, thus speeding up the entire installation process, saving time, and eliminating the need to remain outside the container.
